Clinica Prosavi, a subsidiary of Heart4Children, is located in Armenia Bonito, Honduras. The community is among the most economically challenged in Honduras with an unemployment rate over 60% and the average household income making less than $450 a month. Our clinic opened May 1, 2023 with the goal of meeting the most common medical needs in the community to impact the wellness in the general population through direct medical treatment. We treat illnesses at early stages and advanced, perform minor surgical procedures, distribute medicines for treatment, and provide education in wellness, health, and lifestyle.
The clinic is currently open four days a week. The average number of patients seen on a one week service trip can be up to 400! Clinica Prosavi provides treatments for diabetes, high blood pressure, infections, asthma, cold and flu, wound care, prenatal care and more.
Beginning 2025 (sooner with funding) we will expand our treatment to encompass total wellness programs providing services for mind and spirit as well. Our goal is to become a total wellness clinic for all ages.
